Results vary person to person. Humira binds to the TNF in a cell and

interfers with the inflammation cascade. I chose not to use it

because of the injection site reactions and sharps containers

disposal. Going to the infusion center for an IV once ever 6-8 weeks

means I can lay in bed and watch TV for 3 hours until I am finished.

Its been 8+ years now with great results. I sure hope it works for

you. Deborah

I took Orencia two years ago, and had so many side effects

my Dr just ignored it, untill it put me in the hospital with pneumonia.

Every person is different, so maybe for you it will work

Thanks for the

link, Deborah. I’ve read it,

and other links, but it doesn’t seem to say how long before it starts to

work…my doc says to try it for at least 3 months. I’m on month 2,

so we’ll see.

Thx.

, I haven’t been on Humira but my rheumatologist said

the same as yours when we started Remicade. I saw a little improvement

after two or three months so we decided to wait another month before

switching. There was still more improvement so we waited some more and it

finally really kicked in after about 6 months. That was about 7 years ago

and it is still working fine for me. In fact, we have reduced the dose

with no problems. RA sure does teach patience and severely punishes

impatience. God bless.

Dood for you

just because a medication is working for you, it is so sad

you telling us

RA does teach patience, and severely punishes impations

you dont seem like a sensitive person to me,

you are not a Dr , so what gives you the right to critice

Every person reacts to a medication differently.

for some it works, for otheres it does not.

I also have a right to give my opinion because the medication works on him,

that does not give him the right to give advice like he is a Dr.

I also had( pations) with one of the medications i took, and it landet me in the

hospital with pneumonia.i almost died , does that give you satisfaction ??? does

that make you happy ???

I resent, him telling us RA severely punishes (impatience.) every Person is

different,i guess he is a lucky one, and he should count his lucky stars

i am glad for him.

He always gives advices, and i think it is wrong, he should show a little

sympathy instead to the poor suffering people out there.he should thank God he

is not suffering like some of us do, so think what you want of me, because i can

tell you are also not a sensitive person

Please don`t bother me with your insults any more.

Haraold does not have a right to say

RA sure does teach pations,

and severely punishes impatience.i resent this remark.

I guess i was so wrong about you, thinking you cared.

I had pation with the medication i took, all i had was very bad side effects, and

almost died, but why should you care, i think you rather think i should have

died.some people just can not tolerate those powerful medications

others can not affort the price to pay for them ,so please dont be so cold.

People in this support group need sympathy understanding,an ear to listen to,

maybe a shoulder to cry on ,that is why the are reaching out, dont worry you will

not hear me complain about my pain any more,

maybe my dog will have more understanding for me than you do.

God be with you ( i guess you must not have Arthritis, because otherwise you

would understand.

So please don`twrite to me any more.i am not interested in your insults to me

.................

I guess i was wrong about you, you gave me a phony message

unsensitive and cold person.just because you are feeling good, so dont worry
