Guest guest
I took Imuran for a few years and it worked for me, but I was taking it along with methotrexate. My rheumatologist has used a variety of drugs with the methotrexate over the 20 years I have been on it. Now I take Humira and the Mtx.Anet On 4/7/09, a_grey@... <a_grey@...> wrote: I am a newbie to this group. Guest guest
Remember that Imuran is only a disease modifier. It will not slow the progression of your disease which appears to be advanced. I would talk to her about trying a biologic. It treats both lupus and RA. You might try Cyclosporine and MTX therapy if you arent covered for a biologic though Remicade Infusions are covered by Medicare. Take Charge. The doctor is working for you. Some doctors are not progressive enough and yours seems reluctant to take bolder measures which may be needed. You can always get another Rheumatologists Opinion. Google " R.A. Guest guest
Well did you lose on the lemonade diet? Do you get enough protein on that diet? It seems when I try some of those I will lose hair. Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry newbie gallstones Date: Saturday, June 13, 2009, 10:27 AM Hi everyone, My name is Odile. My husband has recently been diagnosed with gallstones, after having a couple of very painful gallbladder attack. He is not interested in surgery. we are now exploring alternatives. He is in the midst of a liver/gallbladder cleanse. He is doing apple juice for 5 days and then olive oil and epsom salts for a day. The amount of information and the amount of contradictions on the net is overwhelming. Here is a question he has: has anyone here have had 2 ultrasounds, one before a cleanse and one after a cleanse, showing improvements? As you can tell, he is an engineer. Guest guest
Newbie - read Hulda . A ultrasound in such a short time will not show a change. Because the oldest stones are expelled, then the next older stones are moved forward, and the process repeats. I recommend Hulda s book 'The Cure for All Disease'. Read it front to back. Guest guest
Pregnant Ukrainian women would lose hair and teeth while pregnant due to lack or vitamins and minerals - so if you lose hair during a fast, then there are deeper underlying issues to be corrected. Obviously losing hair and teeth quickly is not normal. The amount of information and the amount of contradictions on the net is overwhelming. Hi Odile, Welcome. :-) Many folks on this list seem to have the best results by following Dr. Hulda 's protocol, a description of which can be found here: http://curezone.com/clark/liver.asp Although Dr. recommends doing a parasite cleanse first, which is probably a really good idea, many people still seem to have good flush results even if they skip this. I know I have. Personally, I also find it especially beneficial to do enemas both before and after a flush, as this really helps to expedite the removal of toxins and wastes dumped into the intestines by the liver and gall bladder, and generally does wonders to improve the efficacy of the whole process. In addition, a castor oil pack, covered by a heating pad or hot water bottle and applied to the skin over the liver/gall bladder the evening of the flush prior to taking the olive oil mixture, is another really beneficial addition to the protocol. Castor oil packs not only help to stimulate blood circulation to the entire area, but also encourage the drawing out of toxins. Here's a link with instructions on how to apply a castor oil pack: http://members.tripod.com/~arescott/copinstr.html > > Here is a question he has: has anyone here have had 2 ultrasounds, one before a cleanse and one after a cleanse, showing improvements? > As you can tell, he is an engineer. > Regards > Odile > I've never had an ultrasound and don't have any intention of ever having one, so I can't personally address your husband's question. What I will say though, is that it's important to remember that acute symptoms like gall bladder attacks are in all likelihood a sign of some sort of underlying chronic congestion, condition and/or blockage that has been building within the body over the course of time. When you consider the amount of time it has probably taken for conditions inside the body to shift to the point of manifesting as a painful gall bladder attack, this may help put things into perspective with regards to how much of an impact one single flush may have on its own in terms of resolving the problem. Although I've never had any problems with my gall bladder and have only ever done flushes as part of a general prophylactic protocol of detoxification, I can tell you that after doing 7 or 8 of them over the course of the last year or so, I continue to see stones, chaff, sludge and green globules of congealed bile come pouring out of me every time I do one. The point is that your DH may need to do more than just one single flush in order for this type of cleansing to have a significant positive impact on his chronic condition. Most people really benefit from doing a series of them, waiting a minimum of 2 weeks between each flush. It may also be necessary for your husband to to address his diet and/or lifestyle, and he might even consider looking into some other methods of detoxification (colon cleansing, skin brushing, lymphasizing and sweating in saunas come to mind) to use in conjunction with flushing his liver/gb. In my opinion, these liver flushes are one of the simplest, cheapest and most effective natural approaches any of us can take in an effort to either address or prevent the onset of chronic illness. There are a bunch of really knowledgeable people on this list who have lots of first hand experience with this kind of cleansing, and who are happy to share their experiences and answer questions. So you're definitely in the right place. :-) Elan
