I’m sorry you have RA but with proper treatment you should

be able to live a pretty normal life. The first year or two are the

hardest while trying to find out what treatment works for you. There is

much difference among individuals so no single treatment works for everyone.

You are being started on relatively mild treatments that usually have lesser

side effects but also are on average less effective at treating RA. They

do work for some people. I had severe, rapid-onset RA so I was started on

Methotrexate and after a few months with limited success we added Remicade and

that finally worked. I hope you are seeing a board-certified

rheumatologist because few other doctors are really qualified to diagnose or

treat RA. Please let us know how you do with your treatment. God

Hi all,

Hope you are doing well and working out things. I went to the ra doc today, 2nd

visit and was confirmed that I have ra. I am going to take

sulfasalazin for a month then he will as pacquinell sp? and visit him again in

two month. Anyone tried this. My biggest problem are my knees, they are just

not as mobile and hurt to bend, etc. Hand gives me a little problem off and on

as my ankles swell off and on but things have gotten a little better and hope

this medicine goes well.

We shall see.
