This free conference is scheduled for Saturday, November 14th from 10:00 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. and will be held at Washington Hospital , 2500 Mowry Avenue , Fremont . Thriving with arthritis in the prime of your life...come see how!The Arthritis Foundation, Northern California Chapter, and Arthritis Introspective invites you to a day of education and empowerment focusing on issues affecting those living with arthritis in the prime of their lives who are thriving through life ' s milestones. Whether you were diagnosed with arthritis at two or 32, we all struggle with managing relationships, insurance, careers, chronic pain, and loss of mobility. The Young Adult Education Day will focus on finding positive ways to take control of our disease by learning coping tools, exploring holistic approaches to disease management, working with "the system," and making crucial life-decisions. Join us in sharing your challenges and triumphs with others who have been there and develop life long friendships. You will enjoy: Learning about your rights, including access to technology, education, employment, transportation, health care, etc. from representatives of Disability Rights Advocates (www.dralegal.org) and the Foundation for Health Coverage Education (www.coverageforall.org). Exploring the healing power of laughter with humorist and motivational speaker, son ( www.humorhorizons.com). Learn positive ways to manage stress, anger and depression; address relationships, self-esteem and intimacy issues and much more.
