What is the connection between RA and FM? It seems when someone has pain

symtoms that do not respond the medicines readily, the ortho people jump to

Fibromyalgia as a diagnosis, or non-diagnosis.

If you have RA do you automatically assume fibromyalgia as a part of it?

This seems especially important if one is seronegative RA.

I had a sed rate off the chart when I was diagnosed, but previously had never

had more than a slight elevation. Otherwise, no serological support, but some

hand symptoms.

I, by the way, LOVE the parafin bath that I bought at a yard sale. When my

hands ache, it is sooooo sooothing. Ice packs before hand makes it even more

effective for a longer time.
