Guest guest
Never think you are out of options. There are other therapies such as naltrexone that work wonders in auto immune disease. Never give up hope. Rituxan is a B Cell blocker yet another option, and there are new IL-6 drugs in trial as we speak. My RD is on the cutting edge of the newest research but even he hasnt heard of or was aware of Naltrexone so dont think your RD has all the answers. Patient know thyself and thy disease. How many patients take the time to educate themselves on the options available. Only through tenacious research on my part, knowing as much as my RD knows and challenging him when I feel its needed. I am an advocate for my own care. I have to be. No one else will be. yours, Deborah B in Maine On Sun, Jan 31, 2010 at 8:09 PM, <BeingIrish@...> wrote: In a message dated 1/31/10 4:06:04 PM, hvantuyl@... writes: If you cannot get relief with the more common treatments you might consider antibiotic therapy with tetracycline derivatives such as Minocycline. ***** In my case, I asked my rheumatologist about antibiotic therapy, but she said my disease is too severe and too far advanced for it to do any good.
