Guest guest
It wasn't long ago someone said this wasn't an active group...Suddenly we have lots of new people who need us to stand strong and smart with them, if we have been there/done that and to share how to best work the systems and cope.My RA showed itself after a septic kidney stone episode. For years I thought it was the antibiotic caused it, but that was because there were soooo many other side effects with the antibiotic. For folks without insurance, get the Walmart or Walgreens or Costco or whatever $4. list you can. A lot of the non steroidal pain medications are there, as are some of the antidepressants and muscle relaxants. My primary care MD was so great, she looked over the "cheapie list" to see if any of my meds were close enough to use the cheap prescriptions. It is cheaper than my insurance co pays!!!Good job and kudus to all the "oldies" who are making the newcomers welcome, and their pathway less troubled. We all are different and finding the right cocktails of medicines to help us be most functional is a process we have work at, regularly, along with healthful lifestyles.Laying in bed crying will not help anything. Getting up and taking a walk, taking a shower or calling a friend who needs to hear from someone will make us feel better, but we all need those rare items, the ROUND TUITS to help ourselves when we feel our worst.Prairiegrandma
Guest guest
Thats the truth about a good shower. I am not a morning person, it takes me forever to get moving in the morning. I was offered a job last summer that was suppose to be working nights in a radiology clinic. I took the job and started in Oct. with training being in the morning. Here it is 7 months later and I am still working days. I didnt think I would be able to do it. My hours are 10-3 mondays, tuesdays and thursdays and surprisingly enough with a good hot shower about 1 1/2 after I get up it does a body good. I have to admit that by the time I get home and sit down in my chair and put my feet up I feel pretty wiped some days but I feel so good that I have a job and I'm doing it. Dont ever give up on yourself, just find what works for you. in Michigan From: helen flatau <hlflatau@...>Subject: Acive GroupRheumatoid Arthritis Date: Friday, May 22, 2009, 8:52 PM It wasn't long ago someone said this wasn't an active group...Suddenly we have lots of new people who need us to stand strong and smart with them, if we have been there/done that and to share how to best work the systems and cope.My RA showed itself after a septic kidney stone episode.
