MTX Side Effects-12.07.2010

Dear All

I have been on MTX for 2 years now but seem to have developed, perhaps, ulcers

which makes swallowing food difficult and painful as well as burping. I had a

hacking cough for several months. Has anyone had the same symptoms as these,

possibly due to MTX?

Please share with me if you have.

hacking cough you need to see you doctor

ASAP. There is a side effect of MTX called drug induced pneumonitis.

Its nothing to play with and I was told can be fatal.

I had it...and it came on hard and fast. The solution is to stop the

MTX. Which is what my doc did.

Any cough, sore or illness should be reported to your doc anytime you

are on immune suppressant drugs.
