Thank you, I got it all straightened out with my rheumy and pharmacist

I had received a large, unpreserved vial and told to use it until it

was gone, I had been using it for four weeks when I read something

online about discarding after each use. I will get small vials, one

per week now. It is to our benefit to learn as much as possible

That's a lot of prednisone, I hope you also take Fosamax so your bones do not

become too brittle.

ok i haven't really posted in awhile. has anyone else who does mtx

injections ever feel it pumping through them? i felt it last night. my tongue

feels so

strange. my rheumi said she thinks i am having a reaction to the mtx and to

take benedryl. i was also on 40 mgs prednisone last week tapered down to 15.

diflucan x 2 days from the steroids bp 170/100 on thursday, part of me just

says do a xanax (which she said i could) and go to sleep

Sounds about right. Hang in there .

Just curious and you don't have to answer of course. I live in Chicago, where

in Illinois are you?

Kathy, what do you mean " chemical spill? "

Meds are there for those who need it. If you don't take them, your joints will

deteriorate fast and then you'll be bedridden for sure. Please, do take them as

prescribed and have some quality to your life.

We all have bad days, don't let them get you down.

Take care.

I " m so sorry that you're having such a time with nausea -- it must be

horrible to have it 24/7! I hope they can get it resolved.

I had that gall bladder test done, too, due to my inability to digest

food, and it turned out that my gall bladder was only functioning at 3%

of normal. They yanked it out and my digestion has been much better

since then.

Take care,

colonoscopies ) so I had an ultrasound done and that weird gall bladder

test where they inject dye into your arm and you lay underneath a

machine for an hour...they were thinking maybe something else was

causing the nausea...found nothing. I'm going back to the gastro doc on

Thursday because I am absolutely so sick to my stomach 24/7. I just

wondered if anyone else had that issue, I had so hoped that the mtx

injections would take that away. Thanks.

I had the same problem...constant nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. It was not

worth the lost of quality of life to spend my life on the bathroom floor.

So MTX was stopped after 9-12 months of trying different stuff to lessen the

side effects. I think there are just some of use that can not tolerate it.

Hi ,

I'm on mtx injections now, giving them myself, and still no reduction in the

nausa. My rheumy sent me to my gasto doc ( he does my colonoscopies ) so I

had an ultrasound done and that weird gall bladder test where they inject dye

into your arm and you lay underneath a machine for an hour...they were

thinking maybe something else was causing the nausea...found nothing. I'm going

back to the gastro doc on Thursday because I am absolutely so sick to my

24/7. I just wondered if anyone else had that issue, I had so hoped that the

mtx injections would take that away. Thanks
