Guest guest
Thanks, Rogene, Yeah, I think when I'm feeling good I forget that I've got limitations, plus I got extremely upset over an issue at my new job and the stress probably didn't help. The thing that's frustrating is that I'm so sensitive to supplements of any kind (except probiotics) that I'm unable to use most of them. The things that are helpful to others tend to cause new problems with me. I eat a very healthy diet and I go to the gym 3 times a week, and I go for walks 3 times a week, so I'm doing what I can. I'm thankful that I'm able to exercise, because I know that many who come here are too sick for that. Sis > > Sis, > > It's likely a combination of things . . . Guest guest
Dearest Sis: I am sorry to hear that you are not doing very well. As for the vitamins, I can no longer take anything, and that could be why I am feeling depressed. The probiotics do not bother me, but the multi-vitamin causes many tummy problems. When I told Dr. Blais about my heart valve, he told me that if I should ever need a new heart valve to call him first. Honey, you could write to him and ask about the safe valves for your precious father. I too plan on living forever, your father has a good attitude. Love you so....Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~```````````````````````` Re: Hello Thanks, Rogene,Yeah, I think when I'm feeling good I forget that I've got limitations, plus I got extremely upset over an issue at my new job and the stress probably didn't help. Guest guest
Sis . . . For me, I've found that stress is the single biggest trigger for setbacks. There are no simple solutions to avoiding it. . . but "rearranging" my thought processes in regards to certain situations goes a long way to reducing the stress. Unfortunately, the thing that I'd most often like to do, "jump in take it on", usually causes more stress. One good thing about getting older is that it becomes more acceptable to walk away. Guest guest
Rogene, you always give such great advice. Do you think that my thyroid could be causing my lack of lust for life? I tried to bake a peach pudding, but just could not do it. I had to freeze the peaches...cooking was one of my favourite things to do. Depression could cause these problems, but this seems different. Love you always......Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`````````````````` Re: Re: Hello Sis, It's likely a combination of things . . . Or just overstepping your limits. Guest guest
Dear Lea, I'll contact Dr. Blais and see what he suggests. I only recently told my parents that I had the implants removed. They knew about the implant surgery but when I got sick I didn't tell them, because my mother gets ill when she worries about my sisters and I, and why burden her? I told them I had the implants removed because my joints swelled up and because I hated how they looked and felt, but they have no idea that I'm still having problems. I'd like to give my father information without shifting their concerns to my health, so it would definitely be great if Dr. Blais could provide information that I could share with my father. Love you, Sis > > > > Sis, > > > > It's likely a combination of things . . . Guest guest
Sis, It took me several years to get to where I could take some supplements. Some I still cannot take. But I think you are on the right path. I hope you can avoid as much work frustration as possible. Can you work out a strategy on how to respond? Guest guest
Lea, As long as you still have those capsules in you, you're fighting an uphill battle. I'm amazed that you do as well as you do! Hopefully you can get those capsules out soon. . . After they're out you should be able to start figuring out what must be dealt with. If I were to guess, I'd say that you likely you'll still have problems with fungal issues, adrenal fatigue and thryoid problems. It's probably going to be like peeling an onion . . . hopefully you'll feel better and better as each layer is peeled away. Guest guest
Lynda, thank you. We have just got home from the doctor. He always gives me my B12 shot once a week. I asked him to please change my thyroid medication. He gave us a generic name of a thyroid pill for me to try....it is the same as synthroid! The pharmacist told me that many people have better results with desiccated thyroid. Honey, I get so fed up, because I want to be me again. Perhaps our Rogene is correct in that I must have this garbage cleaned out of me. Love you lots...Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~````````` Re: Re: Hello>>Sis,>>It's likely a combination of things . . . Guest guest
Sis, We get to watch the Cubs play the NY Mets tomorrow at Wrigley Field. I hope the weather holds up, they are calling for thunderstorms right now. Oh how I know what stress from work can do!! When I have a stressful day, I come home and crash - - just feel horrible with fatigue. I have had to learn my best not to stress at work... I can't allow myself to stress, so I have slow down and not take things to heart. It is very difficult because I am such a type A perfectionist person. I am sure my raise will reflect my new attitude but I really can't say I care either way : ) I do hope you feel better soon. I know I am going to majorly detox when I get home. It is so hard to follow a good diet on vacation, just hard to find good food. Hugs, Lynn Re: Hello Lynn,I was just thinking of you as I watched the Mets play the White Sox at Grant Park in Chicago!! My symptoms are flaring up quite a bit lately - I don't know if the humid weather is to blame, the stress of a new job, or what. Sis> > > > > Hi all! Guest guest
Lynn, We'll be watching that game - or at least my hubby will (I'll be at a concert). My husband is a huge Mets fan. Have fun!! I put alot of pressure on myself at work, too. I somehow think that I'm supposed to be perfect on the job, and it's ridiculous!! I'm currently studying for an exam so that I can be certified in Project Management. I'm enjoying the self-study and am almost ready to take the exam. That will help my marketability in the event I decide this job isn't for me. Sis > > > > > > > Hi all! Well I made it to 35.... > > > > > > > > What a birthday, worked a 10 hour day. Guest guest
Sis, Who are you going to see in concert? I just saw Bon Jovi in July, it was so good. It looks like it rained last night so it should be nice an muggy out today. We went to the top of the Hancock last night, wow what wonderful views. I am trying to talk my hubby in to going to the the skywalk at Sears Tower today - we will see. My feet ache though, we walked for miles last night. Isn't it nice to know you can self study and become more marketable. I am doing the same at my job. I have four more tests to take to get a designation in insurance education - it should make me more competative. Take care and have fun at your concert. Guest guest
Lynn, I really love Chicago, so I am so envious but HAPPY for you to be there. I've gone there on business a few times and it's a great city. When I was there, a woman who was raised in Poland was there with us, and she wanted to go to the Polish section for dinner. We found a place on Milwaukee Ave, I think, and the food was great. As I was sitting there eating my dinner, a man who stood about 7 ft. tall came walking in and he had a huge gun strapped to his belt. I was terrified, but then I realized he was a plain clothes cop!! Anyway, I went to see The Police last night, at the Meadowlands Arena in New Jersey. I had the best time, and I must say Sting was looking mighty fine, and it amazes me that he still hits those high notes with no trouble. Must be clean living - I know he's into yoga. Guest guest
Oh Sis, I bet that was a great concert. I agree, Sting as aged so nicely. Chicago was wonderful. We are in Bloomington now visiting my mother-in-law. I wish I could attach some photos I took of the city. They must be too large because I get an error when I try to attach them. Darn it! We did see some strange characters, especially when we took the L Train to Wrigley Field. I would have freaked too if i would have seen somebody that tall with a gun. I really want to try yoga! I am making an appointment for a ionic foot bath when I get home, can't wait! Hugs, Lynn Re: Hello Lynn,I really love Chicago, so I am so envious but HAPPY for you to be there. It helps me soooo much with my anxiety and my mental state. You can even get a DVD to try at home if you can't afford classes. Guest guest
Lynn, My favorite yoga DVD to do at home is called " Yoga for Urban Living " by Natural Journeys. I bought it at Chapter's, a big chain bookstore in Canada. This one is good because it is super clear and easy to follow and has 2x 30 min workouts. One is for relaxation, the other to energize. I am not very flexible either. I used to run track and that makes your hamstrings tight! Flexible or not, yoga feels good and relaxes the nervous system, strengthens the body and stimulates organs. Apparently, some of the postures are great for the thyroid;) Good luck Lynn! Katy:) --- Lynn <spinkscl@...> wrote: > Hi Katy, do you recommend any DVDs? Guest guest
Lynn, Drink lots and lots of water after massages. Massage releases toxins from your tissues where they have been stored for some time. . . It also stretches the tissue covering the muscle that becomes very taut with fibromyalgia. It will hurt - but it should be a "good" hurt.
