Guest guest
Before I had my RA under control with Rituxan infusions, I would get low grade fevers. It would be enough to make my teeth chatter, and I would ache horribly. Strangely, I wouldn't feel too bad during the day, but this would hit in the early evening. I would be so cold which made the aches worse. I would wrap up in warm blankets, with those heat wraps you warm up in the microwave and take a dose of Tylenol arthritis. Fortunately my rheumy took me seriously. Just because these folks have never heard of thing doesn't mean it isn't real. My PC ALWAYS takes my fevers seriously because of the RA. I recommend another doctor, preferable at a teaching hospital with research happening, if you can.Hugs, (in Western NY)Date: Sun Jun 28, 2009 10:13 am ((PDT))I'm sure this question has been asked before but I'm asking again, I asked my old rheumy about it an he said he never heard of it happening before. I asked the new Dr about it an he never did answer me, when I get a fever it's a low grade one. The last fever I had it was about 100.2 the most it's been was 100.4, I usually take something for the fevers or lay down with a fan blowing me. When I get a fever all my joints start hurting, this lasts for a few days. I know everyone is different when it comes to their RA. I had a nurse tell me that I probably have a virus an my body is fighting it off with the low grade fever, sometimes I feel like yelling at the nurses an Drs for not giving me the right answers.
