GORTA ------------------------------------------------------------------------ UNHEALED WOUNDS: Code Ndao (above) holds a picture of brother Elhadji Gaye, slain by Marta Casiano, then 13, in 1997. - NYP: Don Halasy October 28, 2002 -- Marta Casiano, a killer at 13, no longer bristles with the attitude she showed when she matter-of-factly told cops she robbed and shot a cabdriver in East Harlem, killing him. Her personality shift can't erase the events of Nov. 14, 1997, when she fired one shot from her 100-round Calico pistol into the back of Elhadji Gaye, an immigrant from Guyana, but, she told The Post, she's changed. " That's not me; that's horrible, " she said of the sullen thug in her videotaped confession. " I feel bad for what I did; I dream of it every night. " Yo, if I could do everything over again, that never would have happened. " Casiano is due in court tomorrow to be tried a third time for the slaying. She faces life in prison if convicted. Her two previous trials for the slaying ended in hung juries, despite the damning videotaped confession. But her lawyer, Sears, was able to convince some jurors to look beyond the tape and see what he says put Casiano on the path of violence. That allegedly includes a tortured childhood of severe sexual abuse and rape by her dad. Also, according to Sears, she was a victim of forced drug ingestion, psychiatric treatments and a succession of foster homes in which she was abused or ignored. But Code Ndao, Gaye's brother, said his family is recovering from the killing, " but you never forget about it. " " I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.
