I know that I am a bit late in responding to this, but I just wanted to say that I had known my husband for many years as a friend. At the time we started dating I was almost 300 lbs and had fibromyalgia. He fell in love with me and married me anyway. Today I am 115 lbs lighter and healthier. Part of the transformation is because he allows me to flourish and grow. If someone is with you because of how you look, it means nothing, but if someone is with you because of who you are, it means everything. We are now happily married for 12 years.
