Guest guest
Ingrid, I agree to this. When my son was 2 months old I took him into his pedi (holistic doctor, we didn't vaccinate) - I kept up with the "well baby visits" for the first year, however. After seeing how much I was spending I asked the doctor, do we really need to do this if we're not vaccinating? He told me - "no". So long as he's healthy in your eyes, (this is what he told me) that's good enough for me. He did however state it would be good to keep annual visits to monitor milestones (which he did GREATLY) and weight/height, but aside from that, if we weren't vaccinating, there was no need. When our second daughter was born (she's almost 2) - she's been to him twice. Once after she was first born for a "good" look at her as opposed to mainstream doctors and the 2nd for her 1st year physical. The wellness checkups are for vaccinations only. Randi J. Guest guest
Danritter is taking their daughter for the 4 mo. well visit tomorrow, Friday, Oct, 24, 2008. We truely hope to hear how it all goes with the non-vaccination issue!! Yesterday, my daughter took her now 9 mo. old son to her Peds, a husband and wife team. It was her choice to make an appointment and go, nothing scheduled. She likes to get his measurements and hear the percentile scale where he fits. Also to follow up on some issues with his penis that was cut too long, a birthmark which is shrinking, a blue vein between his eyes since birth, and some odd middle toes, that might be genetic, lol. Check the ears and nose and lungs and heart, etc. He is fine and well within the healthly guidelines and stages for his age, exceeding many. They said he was wonderful, great skin, perfect shape head, and beautiful eyes, just a beautiful child, and remarked to associates to that effect. For some reason that makes her feel good. It seems to give my daughter some assurance that she is a good mom. I tell her he is super healthy, and she got lucky to have such a great kid, but she still likes to hear it from them. PPPTTTTT Anyway, near the end of the physical, they asked her to sign one of those internal office generated waivers or APA one, she wasnt sure. Puzzled, she reminded them that she has his religious vaccine exemption in his file, and was taken aback that they even asked. They have been very good with her no vax decission, right from birth. Well she said,* ONLY if it is necessary!* Said she would look it over and cross out and initial what ever she didnt like, but didnt feel at this time, that they should ask for one, because of the pre-existing exemption. The lady dr, said, *OH, I do remember that now. I will just put a notation in the file. And that was the end of that slightly uncomfortable moment. One of the things I am wondering, if someone does sign that waiver, WHERE DOES IT GO? Are insurances and the state, or Anyone, privy to that non-vac information? That is pretty scary. So what ever you do, if you are going non-vac, if you see a ped or GP,... DO NOT SIGN ANY WAIVER! Even if you cross out and initial anything that might come back to haunt you, do you really want Any information that might get released into the Wrong Hands! We do not have any homeopathics around in our area, I haven't convinced her to seek chiropractic care for infants, and that is also not covered under her insurance. So Ped or GP doctors are about the only choice. And she does seem to want to keep seeing them occassionally until he is at least One, (maybe one more visit) and to have one on record and available if her son ever needs medical, hospital or critical care. First time mom's are pretty overly-concerned, but she is relaxing somewhat, which is good. There is alot of information out there. She is looking for truths and good routes. She is doing alot of her own *home work* and research, watching for benchmarks, and about vaccines, toxins and pesticides, allergy foods, feeding, well-childcare, homeopathic, vitamins, organics, teaching and learning games, verbals, etc. She is a good mom! And as I live with them, and watch her son 9 hrs a day, while I am still able, I enjoy watching them All Grow. The baby is delightful and fun and curious and happy and cuddly and giggly and raring to go Go GO. Good eater and sleeper. He is trying to walk already and pushes a toy that is sorta like a stroller toy he can climb to stand and push and walk behind. So gramma doesn't have to try to pick his 22 lbs up so often, teehee. Thanks for letting me share. Proud Granny here much??!! LOL Glad Day ~ Karla in IL Vaccines PREVENT Health

Guest guest
and with the databases, even WEB databases which now or soon will house medical records, information like this is even more scary. I live in China and am VERY pleased that no official organizations, to my knowledge, know we do not vaccinate. Even though I've been not at all secretive about it...in fact, loud mouthed about it on local forums, and a magazine article including my family's photo as well. But it crosses the line if " the man " had an official signed admission and record that our family doesn't vax. That just don't seem right.
