I'm still thinking about it. This week DIA was shut down because of a

security breach. It was a day-long nightmare for travelers, stranding 15,000

of them while they seached for the woman who broke ranks and trotted off to

her gate without going through security. Now I read that Sky Marshals

rounded up someone on a Delta flight to Philly and pointed a gun at

passengers and I say to myself, " WHAT THE HELL? Do I need this aggravation,

especially since driving down the hill to Denver is a huge deal for me!! "

I'llhave it all figured out this weekend. I really want to go, but hubby is

scheduled to see a surgeon on the 14th and I don't know what will ensue from

that. Right now it's 50-50.

My doctor made this comment about my reaction to Paxil: " Obviously, you were

always mentally ill otherwise you wouldn't have had such a severe reaction.

The illness was just lying dormant, waiting to be brought out. " This one

STILL floors me. What is he implying, that mental disorders are like

viruses, hiding out someplace, waiting for the right conditions to emerge?

And the right conditions being ingesting some addictive, mind-altering drug,

which the pharmas have convinced doctors is perfectly safe, without side

effects and withdrawals, and oh, the best part is that if your patient goes

whacko once they start taking the drug, it's really because they were cuckoo

in the first place. Oh, save me from this world!!!

Hi Glitter - Are you coming to the SSRI Symposium? If so,

perhaps you can sell your book there - with autographed

copies... I'll take one! Your fan, Lynn

Yes - I understand... but it would be wonderful if you were there.

Hope your hubby is ok... and, yes, flying these days/daze is a

nightmare like the rest of the world as we know it... coming

d-o-w-n.

BY GEORGE, I THINK SHE'S GOT IT !!!!!

Do you guys realize the power of this type of writing? This is

exactly like all those stories and jokes going mindlessly around on the

internet all the live-long day. How many do YOU get?

Imagine everybody standing around a pond and throwing in little stones.

What do you see on the surface of the water?

I say everybody here should start writing and sending anecdotes

(evidence) around - just shoot them off into cyberspace (names and

dates changed to protect the innocent). Make up jokes. Just send it

off to your email lists, especially if they are huge.

With what's happening in Australia and Holland with Ritalin, and what

is happening here in the US with Paxil, the time is just right for some

wags like us to set a bunch of little cyber-fish free.......

Good God, we have the biggest library in the world, let's start letting

the information go free. It's the law of exponents.

Time to use the Internet - the way I see it, censorship is already

rampant - better use it while we can.

Doctors expect to be treated like God.

If God knew only as much as medical doctors do, we would be in even worse

trouble :)k
