Use Your Pain as Fuel for Change

“Pain

is the most important fuel for evolution and transformation,†says an article on page 24 of the June 2010 issue of Om Times magazine. “The path for enlightenment is a transformation of pain,†the article continues. When

we feel pain -- physical or emotional -- it signals that something is wrong with our body, mind, or situation. When we feel pain, it is often because our brain is telling us a lie. We are living out a story,  not being true to our self. Once you gain awareness of this situation, neural pathways in your brain begin to change, and the pain begins to lessen. The Transformation of PainIn order to begin this process of transformation through pain, we need:- Presence-

Awareness- Determination- Courage- Commitment- DedicationWe must also be connected enough to our true self that

we recognize when other people -- or our brain -- are telling us “storiesâ€
