Make the decision that you'll no longer use excuses to

keep you from what you know is in your best interest. Today, act on something you've always avoided and explained away with a convenient excuse.Make that phone call you've been putting off, write a letter to a distant friend or relative, put on a pair of walking shoes and go on a one-mile jaunt, clean out one section of your closet - do anything at all, as long as it's something you've been justifying not doing with excuses.Affirm: I have a free will, and there is nothing I need to avoid. I will refrain from using any excuses to justify my avoidance behavior.- Excuses Begone!: How to Change Lifelong, Self-Defeating

Thinking Habits by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer
