Guest guest
Thank you, dear, for posting this. My husband has been on Depakote for two years folowing his brain injury. He is seeing one of the most renowned brain injury specialists in the country and when my husband complained of stomach pains (which he has never ever had prior to taking this crap), the doctor had the nerve to say, " Well, take an antacid! " Well, duh! Next week when we see him, we are slapping this warning on his desk and telling him that there will be no more pills for my husband. I remember expressing concern that his stomach pains coudl be related to the meds and the doctor said, " I've never heard of that happening. " I am so mad right now I can hardly see straight. Guest guest
Yes, , I was aware of the problems you had, but you see, my husband was prone to uncontrollable rages and after he told the security guard at the FBI to go F*** himself when they discovered his little pocket knife, well, we had to put him on something or he would've surely wound up in jail. That they didn't arrest him on the spot was a miracle in itself. But I was never happy that they put him on this -- we rejected the other 18 meds they tried to shove down his throat. I am a pain in the ass as far as the doctors are concerned, but hey, they wouldn't have to make funeral arrangements for him if the drugs killed him. What pisses me off is the way the doctor dismissed the stomach pains with a wave of his hand and a suggestion that he take a Tums. Dumb bastard!! Well, next week, he is getting a piece of my mind (what's left of it!).

Just one more damn drug to add to the pile...if you have epilepsy bad like some do, and this drug works, by all means take it, but to prescribe things like this and neurontin for other uses...well, there's just too many adverse side-effects...of course, if ssris don't cause seizures like they say, then why would they prescribe this then when I had to get off cold-turkey? Either they do know about ssri induced seizures, or they simply give up when you reject the ssris and they feel they have to give you something, anything to justify their existences... _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx
