Bach Flower Remedies Part 2

The remedies to use for the different aspects of fear are:

Rock Rose - Is the remedy to use for emergencies. When there is sudden fear,

panic, terror, hysteria or sudden illness. When there has been an accident or

a person has witnessed an accident. It is ideal to use for children who wake

up with nightmares.

Mimulus - Is for fear of known things. Fear of pain, accidents, death, the

dark, poverty, dogs, spiders etc. The fear will often prevent them experiencing

life to the full. It can be used when a person feels desperate, on the verge

of a nervous breakdown. Usually they are frightened they will lose control and

do harm to themselves or others. This can often be caused by lack of sleep.

Aspen - Is used for fears of an unknown origin. The fear may come when alone,

or suddenly, when among people. The person may be terrified of something

going to happen to them but they don't know what it is.

Red Chestnut - Is for over concern and fear for others. It is often known as

the 'over protective parent' remedy. They project their fear onto others

which

can often hold people back. Their anxiety and fear for another is so strong

they can often feel the other persons pain.

The remedies for those who suffer uncertainty are:

Cerato - Is for people who doubt their own abilities and judgement. They

tend

to sap the vitality of others by seeking advice. They always ask others for

their opinion and distrust their own intuition.

Scleranthus - Is used when a person cannot make up their mind or choose

between two things. they can often be asked a question and answer 'yes or no'.

Ideal for the person who sings the song 'torn between two lovers.' They can't make

up their minds!

Gentian - Is for those who are easily discouraged and tend to have a negative

outlook on life. they tend to get depressed easily and always from a known

cause. They are often difficult to be around as they have so much negative

energy. It is a good remedy to use for discouraged school children.

Gorse - Is the remedy for hoplessness and despair. when a person believes

that no more can be done for them, whether it be healthwise or a situation in

life. When they feel that no-one can help them Gorse is able to heal the

inner

will.

Hornbeam - Is used when there is a temporary feeling of mental/physical

tiredness and you don't feel you are able to get through day to day affairs. It is

a good 'Monday morning' remedy.

Wild Oats - Is for people who are dissatisfied and uncertain due to lack

of

direction in life. they are often talented and ambitious but don't know what to

do careerwise. This makes it an ideal remedy in assisting to select a career.

The remedies for insufficient interest in present circumstances are:

Clematis - is for those who lack concentration and vitality. These people are

always dreamers, are absent minded, lack concentration and are without

interest in the 'now'. They escape from reality by 'floating off'.

Honeysuckle - Is for people who suffer from nostalgia. They romanticise the

past at the expense of today and live on their memories. This remedy is of

great help to restore memories to their proper place and enable people to live

'today' and not in the past.

Wild Rose - To be used when a person has surrendered to the struggle of life

without complaint. They accept their lot and make little or no effort to

improve things and just drift down hill. They show a lack of interest and have lost

their spark and vitality.

Olive - Is used when a person is mentally and physically run down. Their

reserve of energy is exhausted and they have no more strength which can often be

after a prolonged illness, divorce or family trauma. Everything to them is an

effort and all they want is peace and quiet.

White Chestnut - Is the remedy for unwanted thoughts and 'mental chatter'

that keep going over and over in the mind. These thoughts can continually

circulate without resolution and can cause a troubled and disturbed mind

and

sleeplessness.

Mustard - Is for use when there is depression for no apparent reason. It

can

be very severe, depriving the sufferer of normal cheerfulness and thoughts.

The depression is usually sudden and the person doesn't know why they are

depressed.

Chestnut bud - Is for those who like to be alone. They can appear proud,

aloof and superior. They may suffer from physical rigidity and tension as their

energy is often blocked.

Impatiens - As the name implies is for people who are impatient. They like

haste in all things and are often critical of others shortcomings. They think

the rest of the world is slow. They are lonely as they are so far ahead of

everyone.

- Is the remedy for a person who is self centred and over concerned

with their own life and problems. They will discuss their affairs with anyone

and cannot bear to be alone. They are poor listeners and tend to make mountains

out of molehills.

The remedies for those over sensitive to influences and ideas are:

Agrimony - Is for those who put on a carefree mask which hides their inner

torture. They are often restless and will seek activity and excitement to help

overcome their worry. They will often take drugs, alcohol or sugar in excess to

dull their pain and suffering.

Centaury - Is for use when people are timid, quiet, gentle anxious to please

and weak willed. They are easily dominated and are often partnered with a

more

forceful personality who exploits them. This is known as the 'doormat'

remedy.

Walnut - Is used when a person is going through any major transition or

change in their life eg: teething, puberty, new school, moving house, divorce etc.

It helps to break with the old pattern and establish a new one.

Holly - Is the remedy used for envy, revenge, suspicion, jealousy, anger

and

for all the states of mind that are opposite to love or being loving. When a

person uses the words 'I hate...' often, this is the remedy to use. It is ideal

for sibling rivalry.
