Very positive & surprising doctor's visit today !

Several weeks ago I asked this group's advice on how to inform our doctor

about our decision to no longer accept vaccines. My son was due for his

annual physical and I wanted to be prepared to decline vaccinations.

Well today was his visit, I was well prepared with signed and notarized

affidavits I printed off some of the sites you all recommended. Even though

I knew I did not need to provide written documentation to the doctor, only

to the school, I was prepared anyway.

Well imagine my surprise when I accompanied my son to the exam room with the

nurse who took his height, weight etc. I told her I just want to be sure he

would not receive any vaccines as we are no longer vaccinating our family.

Her reply was " Oh, are you concerned about the preservatives ? " Being the

cautious cynic I answered, " Well it's for a lot of different reasons " And

she totally shocked me when she told me that she had spent a whole Saturday

watching youtube videos on the dangers of vaccinations and had decided

herself not to take them !!! I asked if she had kids, she said no but if she

did she would not vaccinate them most likely. We then started discussing the

Gardisil vaccine and she told me the pharma reps are right up front with the

risks of Gardasil - I was shocked.

Anyway, no pressure or debate with her and the doctor was not phased at all

that we declined vaccinations.

A very pleasant and easy visit.
