Guest guest
, I hear your frustration with pain and activity. This group could be called " Sick of pain " group. I remember my worst days when I had to take vicodin and flexirile 5 minutes after geting out of bed then keep taking it to make it through the day. It was still very painful but I wouldn't pass out from pain on the meds. I have had muscles lock up on right and left shoulders at base of neck. It feels like a golf ball imbedded in the base of my neck. I've had neuromuscular masssages whrre they grab the muscle and hold it tightly which really hurts but sometimes makes the muscle finally relax. It comes back though by the time I drive home. Have you asked for a TENS unit? It's the only sure thing that works for me. However, my skin developes a sensitivity to the electrodes If I use it often. Also, I have found from experience not to talk to people about my pain unless they have had the experience. Most people think you have to be openly bleeding to death to be in real pain and are good at invalidating us. Pain is a very personal experience becase each of us has their own particular place and strength where the disease presents itself. I have never heard of a discogram. What is it. > > HELLO everyone-- > > I got my MRI results and the DR says it looks okay. He is still > concerned with my headaches and arm pain. So, I am waiting to get > scheduled for discograms. Guest guest
-- Hello. I am sorry that you are in so much pain as well. I do have a TENS unit, but it doesn't seem to help as much as it should. I am trying to do yoga since I am such a tense person... A discogram is a test where they inject dye into the disc while you are fully conscious so you can tell the Dr what hurts the most and what doesn't hurt. They can see if you have tears in the discs because the dye will leak out of the disc space. They will inject 4 of my discs to see what damage I have. I am waiting for the referral call. > > > > HELLO everyone-- > > > > I got my MRI results and the DR says it looks okay. He is still > > concerned with my headaches and arm pain.
