Prana: The Eternal Life Energy

What is Prana?

Prana is a Sanskrit word literally meaning “life-force†the invisible

bio-energy or vital energy that keeps the body alive and maintains a state of good health. Prana is the life-energy or life-principle of the universe.  This primeval energy is know by different names in other schools of wisdom, including:  Ki (Japan), Chi (China), Pneuma (Greece),

Mana (Polynesian), Ruah (Hebrew – Breath of Life, Old Testament).

Prana also means:

The Vital BreathThe 5 Vital Principles of basic energy: prana, apana, udana, vyana, samana (types of Prana)Vital Fluid of the body (according to Ma Ananda Moyî)The nervous  energy  (according to Shrî Aurobindo)

The Principal of life  (according to Swâmî Vivékananda)The Substance of Life ( according to  Shrî Aurobindo)A universal force and omnipresence that manifests itself throughout the entire Universe. (according to  Swâmi Vivékânanda)

A cosmic force that acts upon the Akasha to replicate and create the Universe. (According to  Swâmî Sivananda Sarasvati).

Prana has many uses and is required for the continued existence of one’s physical body. Prana is the only substance in Creation which can create the steady structural replacements required

by a physical body.

Pranic Healing was been a widely practiced art and science in ancient

civilizations in China, Egypt and India. This ancient healing methodology is intended to complement conventional medical practices as well as other alternative healing methods.

Sources of Prana

There are three major sources of Prana.

The Sun: Solar Prana that invigorates and that can be absorbed by sunbathing and drinking sun-exposed water, but too much solar Prana can harm because it is so potent. The Air: Ozone Prana, most effective when acquired through deep slow rhythmic breathing and through the energy centers (chakras) of the inner and outer aura, which is our etheral body.The Earth: The ground Prana that enters though the souls of our feet. Trees and plants absorb Prana from sun, air, and ground and exude a

lot of excess Prana.

How did Prana come to existence?

Prana was first expounded on in the Upanishads, where it is part of the worldly, physical realm, sustaining the body and the mother of thought and thus also of the mind. Prana suffuses all living forms but is not itself the Atman or individual soul. In the Ayurveda, the Sun and

sunshine are held to be a source of Prana.

God

(the intelligent principle of the universe) replicates God to create Creation. God (All That Is) duplicates itself because there can only be God in any part of Creation. God constructs Creation by creating sub-atomic Golden Spheres. These Golden Spheres are exact duplications, or replications of God’s original energy. These minuscule replications of God, these phenomenal Golden Spheres of God’s Unconditional Love are the building blocks of everything that is manifested in Creation. All light, energy and matter everywhere in Creation is comprised of sub-atomic Golden Spheres. The common name for these Golden Spheres is Prana, the life force behind of all Creation.

Prana in the Bible

“So

he came to a town of Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of land that

had given to his son ph. ’s well was there. Jesus, tired from his journey, sat down there at the well. It was about noon. A

woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink.â€

His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.  The Samaritan woman said to him, “How can you, a Jew, ask me, a Samaritan woman, for a

drink?†(For Jews use nothing in common with Samaritans.) Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God and who is saying

to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.â€

(The woman) said to him, “Sir, you do not even have a bucket and the cistern is deep; where then can you get this living water? Are you greater than our father , who gave us this cistern and drank from it himself with his children and his flocks?â€

Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again; but whoever drinks the water I shall give will never thirst; the water I shall give will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.â€

In the New Testament we see the energy of Prana through the metaphor of the Bread of Life, in various passages from the testament of the Apostles, especially in the last supper episode (Luke 22:17-19; Mark 14:22-24; 26-29).

“When he was at table with them, he took bread,

blessed it, and broke it, and gave it to them.

Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him; and he vanished from their sight…

That same hour they got up and returned to Jerusalem;

and they found the eleven and their companions gathered together…

Then they told what had happened on the road,

and how he had been made known to them in the breaking of the bread.â€

~ Luke 24:30-35

“While they were eating, he (Jesus) took a loaf of bread,

and after blessing it he broke it, gave it to them,

and said, ‘Take; this is my body.’

Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks he gave it to them, and all of them drank from it.

He said to them, ‘This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.’â€

There is a transcendent significance in the body and blood of Christ which nurtures the entire creation, expressed by a new covenant based in

pure love, and that includes and transcends the original meaning taken by the dogmatic common mind.  It is definitely a different perspective than that proclaimed by some “channelers†which have been spreading fear

among the spiritual community.  They not only cast shadows on the mission of the Enlightened Being that represented the Christ Consciousness at that point in history:  some even questioning the real existence of Christ Jesus.  Many of these “New Age†doctrines state that

the real reason behind the Sacrifice of (Christ Jesus) was solely to appease the “blood thirsty Creatorâ€, his Father[1].

This can’t be further then the truth. The Bread of Life and the Living Waters are metaphors that represent the building energy blocks that constitute the primo-material in the construction, creation and expansion of this Universe.
