Behold, my most eloquent beloved-

How inside I jump and celebrate

like a puppy under a suppertime table,

whenever I enter your sight or your smile.

Through you, I have entered and surrendered

to a nonending dream.

One where happy endings are eternally stacked,

and redbirds sing in concert from every tree.

You surpass rhyme and reason; yet you are my reason.

You are beyond words; yet with them, I can paint you perfectly.

You are the substance, the essence,

representing everything beautiful, gentle, and pure.

Meanwhile, back in my little world;

I sit numb and bewildered. Confused and baffled.

Who am I, so worthy of sharing your smile

or your soft embrace?

All I know is within this most auspicious dream,

when your eyes find mine and we both exhale,

this is where Heaven touches the Earth.
