Guest guest
Bethie, you need to read our home page, this group is anti antidepressants...... no exceptiongs...... don't even suggest you would stay on the very drugs that have hurt and ruined the lives of so many people. I have not heard of any wall ever mentioned.... that happens with benzos after some time, this family of drugs the ssri/snri types are very hard for many to get on and horrible for many to get off us........ if it makes you feel bad in any way, it is poisoning you and you will have misery getting it out of your system maybe once you start really researching the horrors of tese drugs, you will awake to the idea that they are truly dangerous, > Hay... > I've been hearing about this " Celexa Crash " in the last few days, where after approx. 4-8 weeks on the drug, you hit a wall where the drug just seems to stop working. I'm told that if you just live with it and stay on the drug, that it will get better. I've been trying to find some sort of documentation (other than personal experience in support groups) on this...if anyone can help point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated. > > Thanks, > Bethie

Guest guest
This happened to me twice while I was on zoloft. 1st time I was hospitalized, and they doubled my dose. 2 yrs later, it happened again, only I fought going into the hospital, but more meds were added, they even tried to add Paxil to the Zoloft I was taking!!! At some point YOU have to take control, before your LIFE becomes a total "Poop-Out"!! These drugs are debilitating! Re: Celexa Crash? It's also called Prozac or Paxil Poop-out. Guest guest
Hi Bethie, I can't give you conclusive evidence except to say that I did go through this. I did hit that wall. My sister also hit that wall and went back on Prozac. Unfortunately I can't get my sisters or mother to see that many of their problems are related to the Prozac they take. Once again my mother's doctor has upped her doses of Prozac and now want her taking it 3 times a day (60 mg total per day) when she is 68 and all the documentation I have read about AD's say that children and old(er) people should be on the low doses. Anyway, just wanted to let you know 2 more people have hit that Celexa wall. Hugs, Joy Celexa Crash? Hay...I've been hearing about this "Celexa Crash" in the last few days, where after approx. 4-8 weeks on the drug, you hit a wall where the drug just seems to stop working. Are you on Celexa???? I admit...I was - 20mg for a month. Stopped a few days ago, and then someone told me about this crash. I hit it bad. And I feel stupid for knowing all I know about SSRIs and going back on one - just to please my family. Thank goodness I came to my senses! I know all the withdrawal dangers and all that. But I wanted to get more info on this crash to help people in my depression group, and also a good friend of mine who crashed and then tried to OD. The more info you have, the better...right? Yeesh, the messes I get into! Bethie

Guest guest
> Bethie, you need to read our home page, this group is anti > antidepressants...... no exceptiongs I know. I was with this same group before it was this group (Serotonin Awakenings, I think it was called). Been reading the home page again to remind myself about why I hate antidepressants. I'm better off without them. Bethie
