Hi Mark,

has done a good job addressing your question regarding the Facial

Nerve Monitor, It was used during my surgery as well.

As for recovery time. I was out of work for one week. The second week I

should have only worked half time, I was over-exhausted when I got home. By

the third week I was fine. My surgery was 5.5 hours and included a

mastoidectomy, and tympanoplasty. The ctoma had destroyed the bone between

ear and brain but had not ruptured the dura surrounding the brain. As the

commercials say - " your results may differ " .

God bless, we care!

It does suck to to still making payments & get hit with a repair bill like that. That's one of the resons when I bought my last car 1999. I bought my first New car & bought the exstended waranty so I have a waranty as long as I'm making payment. So I shouldn't get hit with a big repair bill. Untill Nov any repairs are covered 100% after that I only pay $50.00. I hope the exstended waranty was worth the $1200.00

My last new vehicle was/is my chevy silverado it's a '96 & I've

not had any problems with it or any of our other's-- chev's 88 GMC

94 Cavalier & my 96

I know I shouldn't be opening my BIG mouth about this<g> but

they all are running just great!! The oldest has over 200,000

& runs like a top the mid car has over 130k & mine

has less than 53k on it(it's my baby & Ken isn't even allowed to drive

it or tinker with it(actually told me that I'd have to get all maintenance

done myself--so I go the the chev dealer across the river They

actually think I bought it there--- but in actuality I bought it from a

wholesaler in Portland- it only had 60 mi on it @ the time & had never

been registered before...... The one thing that had the most 'bugs'

was the CD player & once I got the 3rd one in I've had no more problems

with it.... this dealer has an excellent service dept. I'd make a

good PR person for them HUH??

Hi Mark,

I know I have already responded to your message but I

read it again and noticed the stuff about your boss.

Does he know the severity of what you are going

through or is he just a jerk?

Having c-toma is hard enough to deal with, and you

have a less than understanding boss. I know

everybody's recovery time is different, but I think

the average is 2 weeks.

We will be thinking of you.

Hi List,

I rec'd a very interesting phone call yesterday from the FDA.They said that

they are doing a research study on the vaccines causing autism. They started

the conversation by stating that the July IOM report said " there is no

causal relationship to the MMR vaccine and autism " .They then went on to say

that what ever information I gave them about my son would not be protected

by any confidentiality(especially his medical records). I stopped the woman

and asked her if the FDA was aware of what the IOM report actually did

state. She said " Yes they are " I answered " so was I, and that they were not

relating the truth to me because the IOM report stated there was no proof

that the MMR DIDN " T cause autism and further investigation was required. " She

then said " Do you want to talk to the head of the FDA " ? and when I asked

her if he too knew what the report actually stated she said yes he did and

that he told her what to say( even though they know it is not true). I was

so angry that this deception is going on that I told them I refused to

participate in the study and hung up. Has anybody else out there been

called?
