Guest guest
Prayer Warriors,Please continue to lift this young man, Bradley in prayer.....you may also leave a note for Bradley at his caring bridge website, which my friend and his mother, tries to update daily...for those of you that have, THANK YOU!!Namaste, Carol~http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/bradleybrock/journal Wednesday, September 1, 2010 7:08 PM, EDT Where to start? Bradley is still with us. He had his birthday party last night and he had a great time. We wheeled him in the recliner from his room to the family waiting room, which was packed. I know he enjoyed seeing so many family and friends, but it was a bit overwhelming and he couldn’t stay long. He received nice presents and cards, but most of all he had an 18th Birthday party! We are so fortunate that he felt well enough to enjoy this…it was priceless! We would like to thank all those who made this dream possible for him. I did none of the planning, nor covered the cost. We have some GREAT friends and I truly appreciate and love them for making this dream come true. Last night was ok. Bradley slept pretty well, actually so well that we didn’t think we were going to wake him this morning. We actually thought we might lose him a couple of times today, but would prefer to not go into the details. We called in family and friends. Then, there you go….there is Bradley…talking to us, asking for chocolate milk and watching TV. Right now, he is sleeping, but pretty restless. I don’t know what he has left to do on this earth, but evidently there is something. I really thought the birthday was what he was waiting on. Pain continues to be pretty well controlled, but he has just now started complaining his ribs are hurting. We use to live day by day, but I guess now we live breath by breath. Nobody can understand why we are 8 days out in ICU after last Wednesday. We’re all exhausted, but enjoying any real “Bradley†time we are able to get. It is hard to watch the times that he is not Bradley. So many have asked how they can help. First and foremost…prayers! I pray Bradley is comfortable, pain free, feels loved and safe. Secondly, people have asked how they can help our family. If you feel the desire to contribute, which some have….we actually have an account/offering open at our church. They said we could post this and if anyone would like to contribute to the Bradley Brock fund, they can. Right now, I don’t know how long we’ll be in ICU and and I are not working, as we’re spending every second with Bradley. Please don’t think I’m asking for money, but wanted to let those folks who have asked or feel led. It is at Cassidy United Methodist Church @ 5801 Memorial Blvd, Kingsport, TN 37664. You would just need to memo this “the Bradley Brock fundâ€. We continue to trudge on. We continue to go on Bradley’s feelings for visitors. He is pretty much in/out of it and we don’t know from one minute to the next what will happen.
