Guest guest
Tuesday, August 31, 2010 11:25 AM, EDT Just thought I'd update....Bradley is still fighting. He was alert yesterday evening, but I can tell he is getting tired. This kid should not be here and I don't know how he is holding on. I'm trying to cherish every waking second with him, as I know they are very limited. I haven't left his room, except to shower (in his bathroom) and walk out to the family waiting room to take a breath and speak with visitors. We are all exhausted, as today is day 7 in ICU. For an update on Bradley's high school....it is confirmed, the man who came into the school was shot and killed. The school resource officer and local police was able to keep all the students and staff safe. Of course, we all know it was in God's hands. I'm so proud of the students, as this morning...they continued their prayer vigil in Bradley's honor. They are NOT letting yesterday's shooting affect them. Go Sullivan Central students! God is working there! This Friday, September 3rd...Bradley is to turn 18. He has talked about turning 18 for quite a while. We believe he is holding out for that. We're going to celebrate his 18th birthday today, with a small party for a few family and friends. I don't know if he'll be up for it, but please pray he can....even if it is for a few moments. He believes that not only is his party today, but his actual birthday. I can't imagine him being able to hold out until Friday. Of course, he has amazed me and the medical staff everyday...so you NEVER know! Either way, he is 18!HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRADLEY...Pray for Bradley, the students of Sullivan Central High School honored Bradley by painting his name on them along with Bible verses and all the students wore arm bands that had P4B (Pray for Bradley) on them. After the game, there was a candlelight prayer vigil and praise service aroung the flag pole. Several hundred students, parents and people from the community stayed to pray for Brad.
