2011 - Part I

The

Twelve had a lot to say this time―guess the ego is a BIG topic.

LOL! This is the first half about the position of the ego. The 2nd half

will come tomorrow and reveals the position of the Greater Self. ― Larry L.

" The ego always creates from a position of lack, thus the

struggle. The Self, the Complete Self, always creates from a position of

already having, of already being fulfilled. If you will get the feel of each of

those positions you will have a good gauge by which to know what direction your

thoughts and words and actions are taking you at any time.  Is it difficult? 

Or is it easy?  Is the solution perfect, fitting for all?  Or is the solution

generating conflict and loss?  Your choices are always taking you in one

direction or the other.

" So let's get a feel for the position of the ego, the

limited physical self; the one who sees only limits, lack of abundance,

scarcity, loss. In this position if I take something from you, you have less

and I have more. If someone takes something from me the opposite occurs.

Limited supply.

" Only seeing the physical, such limits appear to be real.

'That’s the truth of it' the ego says. 'Life is a struggle. You’ve got to claw

your way to the top, and if you’re not into clawing, well, you’d better get

used to a life of lack, which the tax-man will just come and take from you

anyway.' You can feel the position of the ego by that sinking feeling in the

pit of your stomach.

" And when you allow your thoughts to dwell in this

position, your creation will simply be continued proof of this position. Your

money will seem limited. Your love will feel very limited. 'I’ve only got so

much to give,' will be your mantra. You will feel like you are working your

fingers to the bone with little result, or binging yourself on addictive kinds

of pursuits of money, food, sex, work, or any of the limitless supply of

physical pursuits, attempting to fill the void that cannot be filled.

" You see, the position of

the ego presumes that the physical is all there is, so that position is all

about void. You are only cutting off 99.9% of all creation from that position,

so yes, it feels pretty empty there. Feels like hopeless, feels like lack of

resources. ... to be continued ...
