Guest guest
Hi Vicki, He is number one in my prayers tonight, I hope you are worrying needlessly, maybe he has mono, and the lymph node is swelled from that. I know most nodes are tender and painful to touch, but I don't think all are. Let us know the minute you hear anything. Hugs, Marta From: Vicki Ferraro <ferraroa@...> Hi Every one, I have a prayer request for tonight's prayers. I just found out my 18 year old son(Shane) has had what he thought was a stubborn cold for over a month. I didn't even recognize his voice it was so bad. But now he also noticed a lump under a mole, beneath his ear about the size of a small egg. He says it doesn't hurt or feel bad. Which worries me, if it was a swollen lymph node it would at least be tender, all mine hurt when they are swollen. I know it quite possibly could be an infection, since he let the cold go for so long, but I'm still so worried about him. He has a doctor's appt on Monday. All I keep thinking is Hodgkin's Disease. I know there are many other explanations, so I'm trying not to worry, but its difficult. Please remember him in your prayers tonight. Thanks so much, I know I can count on you guys. Guest guest
Debbie, My prayers are with you. I worked for a dr's office for several years doign managed care & I can tell you they can & will drag it out. You need to speak with a supervisor at Aetna. Juast an aside a firnd once told me never pray for patience because then God will put things in your path in order for you to develop greater patience! I had never thought of that before ..... but now it sure makes me think when I pray!!! I will be praying that Aetna gets you your chair VERY soon. God Bless.... Guest guest
Debbie, Don't give up. Keep writing, faxing and making those phone calls. The sqeeky wheel gets oiled. It's really not fair to drag this out for so long, when you are in need. I hope the issue is resolved soon. Good luck. Guest guest
Hi Liz, You're welcome :-) Actually, yes, I did see the McGruders in person :-) They came to my sister-in-laws Church about a month or so ago. Priscilla has cancer and that was going to be their last engagement for a while. She WAS doing well though. I truly enjoyed them! She is so inspiring. Really glad I got to see them. Especially at Church like that, much more personal. Yeah, they ARE great! Spiritual and just so REAL. And thanks, I DID enjoy my bath :-) Just couldn't listen to my tape as I couldn't find my earphones for the little cassette player, and it doesn't have speakers! Need to get me a little portable one. Especially for when Rashelle gets the weight loss affirmation tapes done! Plan on listening to it while I sleep :-) Have a great day! {{{HUGS}}} & God bless, Bonnie *****************************With God, ALL things are possible.*****************************
Guest guest
Thank you so much, June for that sweet gesture. And thanks to Tery, a, Barb, and everyone else who is praying for my neighbor, too. Her physician allowed her to go home yesterday where she is resting comfortably. She just wasn't getting any sleep in the hospital. You HAVE been away for a long time, June. a named you and Joan MIAs the other day. I'm glad you are so involved with your Patient Partners program. Guest guest
Apparently it was the leukemia cells " gumming up " his bone marrow, keeping any red blood cells from getting out, causing the anemia. We wish it was TEC now. Duncan should be going home tomorrow, assuming his blood counts are okay. Late this evening the " mope monster " we'd been living with the past few days suddenly left and our little boy came back! It is such a relief!
