Guest guest
Acupressure Work on the Face with Trigger Stones A tigger stone is any stone or crystal with a terminated or double terminated end(s). These stones are great for stimulating the meridians, acupuncture/acupressure points or marma points on the face or body. Below is a protocol used as part of my hot stone crystal facial: Step 1: Grasp both massage stones between your thumb, index and middle finger and go behind the ear lobes on each side of the neck. Gently apply pressure in a " press and release " rocking motion as you slowly work your stone down the side of the neck until you reach the clavicle (collarbone). Repeat three times, starting again from behind your ear. Step 2: Directly under the nose, using the same press-and-release method, " walk " your stone away from the nose across the cheeks until you reach the ear lobe. Then, continue down the sides of the neck until you again reach the collarbone as you did in step one. Repeat several times. Step 3: Place the tip of the smooth stone in the inside corner of the eyes next to the nose. Using very gentle pressure, " press and release " several times. You should not press so hard that you feel the eye bone. This will immediately relieve any swelling around the eye area. Step 4: Massage above the eyebrows moving outward from the closest portion of the middle of the forehead gently and slowly moving away from the eyes. Repeat several times. This will alleviate dark circles and improve allergy symptoms. Step 5: Lastly, with both stones on both sides of the face, place them on the temples. Using a gentle pumping motion (staying on the temples), " press and release " the stones toward the eyes without losing contact with the skin. Repeat several times. This will relieve stress and stress-related headaches. Follow your list of points for different conditions. Step 6: In an orderly flow press and release the stone into the acupressure points along the sides of the face and down along the mouth. Finish by accentuating the pressure upward along the natural lines andn curves of the face. It is best if the stones remain in contact with the skin. Pacholyk, MS.
