Guest guest
April Good luck with the test!! The Porphyria comes when your liver can not process or get rid of all the impurities in your body and they start out as blisters that fill up with fluid first and then pop open and bleed and then scab over and go away and yes they do leave a scar but eventually new skin replaces the scar but takes a long long time. The Rebetron combo was the only thing that got rid of the stuff and my husband had all new skin on his hands and arms when he went to jail and they refused to give him his full dose of the Rebetron and they came back again worse from the stress also and the dirt in the jail and the strong cleaning fluids that they use there on the floors since he slept on the floor because of the over crowding in the system that they are being fined for every day. I have pictures here from a book that shows and tells about them and what they look like and they do not start out with any kind of head on them. I wish I could figure out how to scan this picture and some I have of my husbands hands and get them out to you. If you give me your address I will send them to you in the mail. My husband has to many red blood cells with this disease which the doctor calls a secondary infection from the Hepatitis C. He does not have to worry about becoming anemic on the rebetron for this reason and has not had any problems there but since this did come back the way it did after he gets done with the Rebetron I think he will have to go ahead and get treated for it in other ways like having blood removed from him every now and then and there are other things they can do for it but since the Rebetron has taken over and he is not having problems with it now again we just leave it alone since it is helping him stay on the full dose of the Rebetron. Its crazy stuff and makes his hands and arms numb and tingley when it is broke out. It has been on his feet and his trunk before also. Hope this helps you out. This was how we found out he had the Chronic Hepatitis C. You stay strong and positive about your decisions and you will get to school and do all the things you have planned in your life. God will help you also just ask him and believe in him. Keep us posted on your progress. Your in our prayers. Staying Positive as always!!!!!!! Guest guest
Hi Winne, Yes I guess I have gotten very uncomfortable with this doctor at first he seemed so informed on it all but he has me totally nervous now. I am going to wait till after the 12th to look into another change of doctors because i am concentrating on my test. I also want to say I am glad your hubby is home and everything is getting back to normal. I wanted to ask you about the skin condition I suffer from some sores that show up on my arms legs and back and of course I have to be one of those people that have to pick at them and after they heal up they resemble abcess scars. They start as bumps that look as if there is a white head but there is not and then they blister over and become sores some last for weeks others barely a whole week is this the same type of thing as your husband suffers from I have had several docs try and figure them out and no luck so I am just wondering . Thanks so much for all the luck you and everyone else on the list has sent me I appriciate it believe me i am going to do it I am determined I want to go to college and take some veternarian classes so later in life I can do animal rescue work. I am going to d oit It seems strange to be doing all this at my age but I really want to do it so I am off and running in high gear with it. Thanks again for all the luck and prayers. Hugs and Strength to you all, April
