Ginger root is my personal choice: chew a bit, or some ginger candy, ginger tea (steep some with lemon and honey) or real ginger ale, or fermented ginger drink. They also sell " pickled ginger " at the Japanese food places for use on Sushi that are pretty good (but they have red food coloring and probably MSG, so you might be better off making your own). Anyway, ginger has a long an honored history for an indigestion cure. Also if I eat fermented vegies with a meal I rarely get indigestion any more. Probably I've said it too many times, but kimchi is great stuff, not to everyone's liking perhaps, but it has ginger, garlic, and cayenne, which is about as good as it gets for stomach problems (not to mention digestive enzymes and probiotics). Fermented ginger carrots are good too and probably more mainstream. Heidi Schuppenhauer Trillium Custom Software Inc. heidis@...

As Heidi said, ginger is supposed to be very good. Peppermint is another one that's known for digestive help. Peppermint tea or even something like Altoids...make sure that any mint candy is made with REAL peppermint oil, though. Altoids are made with real peppermint oil...and LOTS of it! This is strange for me because I have never suffered from indigestion before. It has only begun happening since changing over my diet to NT. I'm wondering if part of the cause has to do with my body adjusting to a new diet. Also, I started a batch of the ginger carrots to help out. My diet was lacking in vegetables, especially fermented veggies. I was focusing on properly preparing grains first because that seems to be the biggest area of impact on our diet...bread for sandwiches, porridge, muffins, quick breads, etc. I think that all the carbs we have been eating, with little vegetables, especially fermented ones, was messing me up. I don't know. My husband hates ginger though. Is there something else I can add instead that still compliments carrots? Also, how do you use fresh ginger? It's so stringy; do you just mince it real fine and not worry about the stringy stuff? I've tried grating it and that was a joke. It took forever and lots of ginger just to get a teaspoon. I used my garlic press and that was a little better but still not reasonable. It was hard to push through, with a lot still left in the garlic press that couldn't get through. It still uses a lot of garlic to get the desired amount. There has got to be an easy way. Guest guest
Sounds like u have a gi issue. I'd recommend getting tested to find out exactly what you are dealing with. We have been fighting them off one at a time for 6 years now with annual testing. We have used this lab with great results: BioHealth Diagnostics 2929 Canon Street San Diego, CA 92106 1-800-570-2000 www.biodia. com BioHealth GI Pathogen Screen: BHD #401 test Ova & parasites x 4 (Trichrome stain) plus antigens to Giardia lamblia, Cryptosporidium parvum, Entamoeba histolytica. Plus Stool x 1: Bacteria, fungi, yeasts, occult blood, Clostridium difficile: Colitis toxins A & B $267 (and worth every penny!) If you give them a call, they will direct you to the nearest doctor in your area. We used a private GI doctor in Sunnyale CA: Mousseau at Health Now Medical. www.health nowmedical. com nancy@... is the main receptionist. The great thing about these folks is that they are a private practice but still take insurance. find joy in the day, ~zeph
Guest guest
After 6 months of herbs, I've gone on doxy a couple of days ago. The swelling in my skull is going down. Felt good yesterday but bad today. I'm reading " Potbelly Syndrome " and it says that overweight can be caused by a number of germs including Adenovirus (type Ad-36), Adenovirus (type SMAM-1), Borna disease virus, Borrelia burgdorferi, and Chlamydophila pneumoniae (CPN). From what I've heard, most people with lyme gain weight. Do you know anything about testing for the above germs? Guest guest
Testing for Lyme and Borrelia burgdorferi was done through Dr. and IGENEX labs in Palo Alto. IGENEX 795 San Road Palo Alto, CA 94303 1-800-832-3200 650.424.1191 http://igenex.com/Website/ Test kits are available with shipping materials at no charge. customerservice@... Dr. J. We are all slight of build but have persistent GI infections. I stay off the all refined or processed sugar (more expensive diet) and I believe it keeps the gut bugs away and lets my immunity improve. I definitely had die off when taking it out. And I feel so much better. Thinking generally, thou, I'd suggest looking for ways to get nutrients in and out of cells efficiently; cellular respiration. http://users.rcn.com/jkimball.ma.ultranet/BiologyPages/C/CellularRespiration.htm\ l An immunity multi-vitamin would be something to consider. If the cell membranes were working well, be easier to kill off some of these. (And easier for the virus to come out and kill off) http://biology.clc.uc.edu/Courses/bio104/cellresp.htm Adenovirus (type Ad-36), Adenovirus (type SMAM-1) Borna disease virus, Chlamydophila pneumoniae (CPN .. . . we don't have experience with those. Searching the " curezone " I found references to the Borna Disease with " a Dr. Sutherland " . You might try searching there. In the meantime, you might try taking some DAILY antivirals you feel comfortable with. We have taken olive leaf, black elderberry, and Astragalus with success. (We are please with the low cost and dosages from iherb.com) Keeping the vitamins in an organizer on the kitchen table worked wonderfully for us. Hoping any or all is helpful, ~z > > After 6 months of herbs, I've gone on doxy a couple of days ago. The swelling in my > skull is going down.
