I'm not familiar with Home Base. Most high-quality kitchen supply

stores should carry them though. You can see what it looks like by

following this link:

That way you'll know what you're looking for. Sometimes they come

without a handle too, but I'd try to get one *with* a handle if

possible.

Thanks, that is a GRATE idea <pun intended>!

I got a porcelin one myself, but as I've become a ginger-addict I find I

like the pieces a little bigger. The regular graters aren't of very good

quality, but rasps come in all sizes etc.

Another tip: ginger keeps really well in alchohol. I haven't tried freezing

it: someone once said not to (I don't know why, maybe it gets mushy, which

you wouldn't care about in most applications). But if you want to keep some

easily put a root in a jar of Vodka. You get some nice spicy Vodka out of

the deal too.
