Guest guest
1. mix the following together: 1/2 cup dry dog food or bisquits 1/2 cup sunflower seeds or seed mix 1 tablespoon of peanut butter 1/4 cup of raisins or finely chopped apples melt 1 cup suet in top of dobble boiler remove from heat and let cool till solid melt again and pour over dry mixture in pie pan. Refrigerate until solid. Serve in pan or place in try or suet feeders. 2. Mix the folllowing together: 1 cup sunflower seeds 1 cup of cornmeal Melt 1 cup of Suet, let cool until solid, melt again. Add 1/2 cup peanut butter and stir til blended. Pour over dry ingredients, mix thoroughly. Pour into pans and harden partially and pack into suet feeders. Refrigerate until solid. The book says only use this feed in the winter as it melts in the summer. Also the birds need the fat for energy in the winter. I am assuming that stock fat would work? Is this suet, or what is suet exactly?
