Subject: [NVICAP-VA] Bill to repeal mandatory HPV vaccines moves

ahead

Dear Virginia NVIC Advocacy Team Members,

Please keep those phone calls and email notes going to your delegates and

senators today to support HB 1419 which repeals the HPV vaccine mandate

in Virginia! If you’ve already called, then email and if you’ve

already emailed then call! They are making a difference as it was

just reported that the bill now is facing final approval from the

complete house of delegates. Earlier this week we alerted you as the bill

started moving through committee and we would love to keep this momentum

going.

Here you can vote in an online poll where it asks the question, “Should

lawmakers rescind mandatory vaccinations of young girls in Virginia

against HPV, a sexually transmitted virus?” I’ve already cast my

“YES” vote!

Please log in to the advocacy portal and

http://NVICAdvocacy.org, click on

“My State” under the State Teams tab, and use your displayed legislative

contact information to please contact your elected officials to ask them

to support HB 1419. You can either call or send an email through

the provided links. Note that if you have a newly elected delegate

or senator, their contact information may not be updated yet in our

database. If it does not automatically display, you can link to the

Virginia’s General Assembly “Who’s My Legislator” page at

http://conview.state.va.us/whosmy.nsf/main?openform to lookup who

currently represents you.

Please use our

Tell a Friend” feature under the resources tab on the portal to

invite people close to you who care about these issues to sign up as an

NVIC Advocacy Team Member for Virginia so they can receive announcements

and alerts. We need your help to build our Virginia team.

Thank you!

Sincerely,
