Guest guest
Yes, boiled peanuts are a southern specialty and they are quite soft and very salty as they are soaked and cooked in brine. They also don't have a strong peanutty flavor more like a bean flavor. ine in SC

If I'm not mistaken, the question was not whether boiled peanuts would become soft when boiled, but whether true nuts would do the same. Guest guest
Well, I know raw cashews and almonds do, too. I use cashews in a chinese stir fry and they become quite soft. Does that count? ine in SC
