I have been thinking about getting a PH meter, but want to make

sure it is safe to stick in my mouth and urine. Do they make

one specifically for that? I have a PH meter for my garden but

am iffy about using it on stuff I plan to drink. It would have

to be very very portable too, since once I get one I think I

will be carrying it around everywhere.

There are some re-usable ph papers around which seem more portable

and simpler. Also guaranteed not to alter the stuff you dip the

strips into. I am thinking about that idea too.

It is much easier and more hygienic to use pH paper. It's on small rolls

about 1/4 inch wide like adhesive tape. You tear off a piece and use that

- it changes color and you match that against a small color chart and then

just flush it down the toilet. I got mine at a local Naturopathic Doctor's

office. Get the type that is specifically for measuring both saliva and

urine. I think it costs about 10m dollars and lasts for months and months.

The brand I get: Pike Lab Supplies, Strong, ME 04983 " Single Roll pH Test

Paper Suitable for Urine and Saliva (in vitro) "
