Guest guest
I gave it a try a few times to give up grains but I got to feeling hungry. I tried eating more vegetables, nuts and legumes. But I still needed small amounts of rice or oats. Guest guest
Grains are a major source of calories in our typical SAD, so it is quite an adjustment to try giving up grains. You have to understand what you are doing to compensate for the missing calories - that is understand your alternate sources of calories. On the other hand if you pile on too many fats, the calories can mushroom, leading to weight gain. It pays to watch the scale to keep track of what is happening, I've found.
