I don't know about specific foods besides the usual recommendations about

good animal fats and meat, but as far as supplements go, I find chondroitin

sulfate (but NOT glucosamine!) invaluable. It takes awhile to notice an

effect, but it makes a very dramatic difference. (Perhaps eating raw meat,

complete with the fibrous tissues and whatnot, would work as well or

better, but I'm not willing to stop taking chondroitin sulfate yet.)

If you're experiencing pain somewhere between your ribs and your

back, you've probably hurt your back. The nerves radiate outward

from the vertebra along the rib cage. An injury to the spine that

causes pressure on one of those nerves will often manifest as a pain

that could feel like it was pretty much anywhere from the spine to

the sternum. You might want to see a doctor or chiropracter. Food

isn't likely to help you. 3 months is enough time to heal just about

any injury in a relatively healthy young person...even bones heal in

that amount of time. The fact that you're still having pain suggests

that it's a problem that will need to be proactively corrected by a

professional.

,

If it hasn't healed in 3-4 months, you need to seek professional

help. It's not going to heal by taking supplements or just waiting.

If its an acute injury, arnica works wonders. Arnica gel/ointment or

homeopathic tablets works for pain, swelling, bruising of muscles (tendons).

Its a must in a house with children, or accident prone adults!

Hi,

Does anyone know the best foods and/or supplements to take when there

is a tendon and ligament injury to the body?
