Guest guest
Dee, yes I have numbness also...numbness in hands especially at nite signifies Carpal-Tunnel. Mine is a result of cryoglobulinemia(a bonus of HepC) This causes peripheral neuropathy. I have it in both hands and I also have numbness at times in feet and legs. I had my whole left arm become involved and had to have surgery for manipulation under anesthesia because my shoulder froze. I am seeing a neurologist and started taking neurontin some time ago which seems to help with nerve pain. I have also been in OT and PT from Aug.99 to May 2000. I am still under the care of orthos at Yale Sports Medicine. There are so many things that come along with this disease. Sleeping with splints at nite can help, but ul;timately you may need a custome splint made for you. These do help tremendously, plus OT. Good luck, mzgee " We can do no great things; only small things with great Love. " Mother

Guest guest
One year ago he had the first removal and reconstruction at the same time. The surgeon thought he got it all even though it was quite extensive. November's check up ended up with a CAT scan and scheduling another removal op, 10 days ago, no reconstruction this time. Now we are scheduling another 'look' and reconstruction in June with a possible CWD if the c-toma has reared it's ugly head again. After reading through the postings, he sounds typical. Good luck next week, Jen. > > > Hi (I have a goddaughter by that name!) > > > Actually Brody doesn't seem to be as nervous as his mommy. He > > > doesn't like the idea of having stitches though.
