It can. From the main menu, select Options->Preferences. Under

Plugins->Output, select the DiskWriter plug-in. Press the Configure button

to choose the output directory, and click the Close button. Now, when you

play a file, it will be written to disk as a .wav file. Don't forget to

change the output plug-in back when you're done.

Go to Winamp Preferences, select Plug-ins->Output and configure Disk Writer
