hey, paul and all--

did you catch npr's nice segment over the wkend on the slow food

movement? i think that they've done several positive segments on slow

food. i also think that our goals are not too different from slow

food's.

also last wk, the *only* group of G8 protesters which i heard npr

report on was the " revolutionary knitting circle "

now, if there were ever a group more likely to be completely

misrepresented, don't you think that it would be that one? but their

message definitely got through. part of their key is humor. which is

not, btw, part of the vegan's traditional repertoire. they have to

resort to using pop vegans with pinched faces and bad teeth like

moby. but i have to hand it to PETA: they use playboy bunnies.

can't we find a carnivorous bunny?
