Guest guest
The first time our family got salmonella the whole block we lived on got it, or so it seemed. That was the worst. Since then the symptoms have seemed to hit us less hard each time. Our doctor said that once you get it they stay in our G.I. tract and show up when our immune system is lowered. One detail that always tips me off though seems to be a definite sulpher smell of the stool, and lots of associated mucous. Seems like I read somewhere that all the antibiotics 'normal' chickens get has prompted the appearance of very resistant salmonella strains, that can indeed inhabit the eggs. Sounds extreme to me, but possible. Here is hoping that by now you feel much better. As long as I stay hydrated I think I am fine. ( don't ask my wife! LOL ) BTW my wife got that sulphery awkwardness last year from a tuna salad sandwich she left on the dashboard for a couple hours. She makes her own herbal tinctures, and I whipped up a glass of silver colloid while she took the wheel, and she claims the symptoms abated in four hours! I love my little silver colloid rig!
