Hullo Joyce. Without a lot of history and present status, such as when did it start or was noticed. How tall he is or his weight, body type and porportion, etc. It would be difficult to know what was really going on, and to look at all the other possible situations that may be causing the growth hormone deficiency. There isnt much information to a link to vaccines. They are possible tho, if he had any or all recommended vaccines, that might cause defects to the hormone systems. Or even to the systems involved for nutritients to be properly utilized by the body. Even the use of toxic diapers can cause things like this to happen. But I would want to be looking into all of that, of what may seem like it is offering a quick fix, or a false promise. Genetic causes, thyroid problems, pituitary tumor, many diseases or other tumors. And what is the growth hormone they want to give, and how long it is needed. What is in the

shots, how are they made and what are the side effects. What problems could they cause down the line, such as sterility or birth defects, sexual problems. giantism, cancer? I would want to Know, and be totally informed, and the boy should have his say as well, with the same information and input. These shots are very expensive and usually done 5-7 times a week, not to mention, Painful? They will come with some of the same additives and adjuvants that vaccines do! Puke on THAT. (More trouble!) What will the outcome or possible negatives be down the line, for this type of drug theraphy in a developing and highly transitional growing body? What damage can it do to all the other systems? Does this teen understand he will be getting a shot everyday? If so, how does HE feel about that? Is there any type or level of dwarfism involved? Noticeable

disporportion? Is he healthy otherwise? Can he wait until he is an adult to see how his total growth does on its own, with some good diet and sups included. Adults can be put on growth hormones too, so what is the Rush? Males can continue growing until they are 21 or so. Can they let him wait until he is of age to make this decision on his own, without parent, friends or doctor coersion for a more ideal body image? He should steer clear of any body building supplements or steroids!@!@! Is this affecting him psychologically? Or his self image? Being a teen is hard enough to get thru... Without Drugs...FDA approved legal (cough), or not? They say to Say NO to drugs, yet they promote them at every turn, to everybody. It's not so good to fool around with Mother Nature. The Modern Medicine Man does not seem to understand what ill they cause. And if

they do know.... shame on them. http://www.rajeun.net/sideeffects.html I would suggest to avoid ALL drugs, esp. longer term or permanent artificial therapies, when ever possible. Including growth hormones! Any of the *personal choice* drugs that do not help you get from one day to the next. Check into diet and supplements and make sure the body is getting it's needed essentials. Should be looking at that First. And for any malabsorption problems. These can all be checked for. And for tumors. You can look so much of this stuff up on your own. And with the drug they are considering using, find the real benefit and results for them... as to my reading, they are not all that helpful or successful, and can be quite detrimental to ones health. When people are subjected to man-made, genetically altered

hormones, the outcomes are Unknown. For instance, here is what happens to cows (and some other animals) who are feed these rBGH growth hormones, and see what you are really getting in your milk and dairy products. But look up all the other stuff I mentioned too. Glad Day ~ Karla in IL http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/bgh.htm
