Hi, all. We have a co-op member who recently took her child to an

iridologist. The child has discomfort after just about every meal,

heartburn, highly acid urine and saliva when tested by litmus paper. The

child also gets mouth ulcers fairly regularly. Anyway, the mother told me

the iridologist indicated the child probably has candida and " bad " bacteria

in the digestive tract and recommended the following supplements - all

Nature's Sunshine and all sold in the iridologist's shop.

Coral Calcium

VS-C Chinese herbal blend for viruses and colds

Flora Force Bifidophilus

Olive Leaf Extract

The co-op member didn't buy anything then as she wanted to check on the

availability of products through the co-op.

Anyway, my questions are kind of hard to vocalize. Is it possible to

diagnose and treat candida or bacterial infection in children solely on the

basis of patient testimony and/or methods like iridology?

Are there any other suppliers of TCM remedies that I can research the

ingredients and possibly find an alternate source than NS?

What do you think of Coral Calcium? It's the latest " fad " in health food

circles. Is it a great product or just something new with lots of marketing

hype?

Anyway, I would appreciate the insight of the group. Thanks! ine
