You have to get the test from a doctor (usually chiropractors or acupunturists are your best bets, but if you can find an educated MD, that would work as well) meaning that you can't just call up Great Smokies and order one yourself. If you don't have a doctor like that I'm pretty sure I can help you locate one. Ken -- stool test stool test came back negative again for the 3rd time today why is this when iam infested with these things iam no lab technician but i can see them ok through a cheap microscope i use and they cant i even popped some of these ribbonlike worms i collected in with the sample i just dont understand how they cannot detect anything i would be grateful for any comments on this or some other tests that are better for detecting this horrible disease my wife and i have so that i can mention to my GP about them we stay in the uk and are not charged for any tests we take. Guest guest Posted February 25, 2006 Report Share Posted February 25, 2006 A big reason for this non-detection is that many parasites degrade to mush very quickly, meaning the test is almost useless after the sample is 30 minutes old. That may account for your own success, as you get the freshest look at it (or them!). Blessings!
