A friend of mine keeps talking about " The Second American Revolution " .

Largely he refers to what will happen if the government keeps outlawing

things that people do every day. Like make coppies of music files and

suchlike. Now if they start putting the same kind of excise taxes of

certain foods that will certainly be one more nail in the coffin of the

current government. Particularly if what they tax is food that rich

people like to eat but poor people already can't afford. We'll have the

same kind of food riots that France had in the 1780's. With a similar

result.

And if anything anywhere is being done well by anyone it probably is

_not_ being done by congress!

The government and congress and the courts have been ignoring the

Constitution for years. The original interpretation of the Constitution did

not delegate that much power to the federal government except to provide

for the common defense, regulate immigration, and regulate interstate

commerce. Seems the government has failed on 2 of 3 here and they use the

interstate commerce loophole to regulate everything else.
