The book " Keeping foods fresh " is a collection by a French gardner's club of

traditional French ways of preserving fruits and vegies (NOT " canning " , which

they purposely don't cover). It's very interesting.

Do you suppose you could share with us the articles that you write?

Pretty please!?

I might have a suggestion or two for a book later. The book that I am

thinking of in particular is in the bedroom and dh is asleep, so I don't

think I could find it right now. :-)

Thanks.

Holly,

I would think it would be fine to share your articles and recipes here.

I mean we are probably all trying to eat plenty of vegetables and other

fresh (or fermented) produce! So I would think the topic would be

appropriate. Anyone else have an opinion on that? Would it be better

for those of us who are interested to get it directly from Holly?

Here is one book that has helpful info about vegetables. It gives some

history and other info on many different vegetables. The title is Too

Many Tomatoes. . . Squash, Beans, and Other Good Things (A Cookbook for

When Your Garden Explodes), by Lois M. Burrows & G. Myers. I first

got ahold of it at our public library. You might be able to find it at

your library. Now I have my own copy which I got at a used book sale.
