Guest guest
Hi all, just got my first batch of kefir grains (thanks Irene in ME!) and plopped them into some unhomoginized, pasteurized milk. Well, I got curds and whey after 4 hours. Is this normal? Do you have to stir the kefir every time before you drink it? Was lumpy, not like thin yogurt at all. Hmmmm....maybe the grains died in shipping? Thanks,

Also putting it in the fridge for a day (when they get hotter they tend to get sourer for awhile). If it worked in 4 hours it's lively.
