Great! Just CLO? No butter? What brand of CLO was your son taking? And how

much?

Were the cavities large?

Fantastic news. I'd read about remineralizing among the Eskimos, who wore down

their teeth and still didn't get cavities, but I didn't realize that we could

actually do this ourselves.

Subject: remineralized tooth success!

About six months ago my 5 year old son had a cavity. I scheduled

for the dentist to fill it. But they cancelled the appointment and I

never made another one, partly because I wanted to see if he didn't need

it. Then I heard about remineralizing teeth. I did not do follow the

procedure too closely but he does take cod liver oil about 3 times a

week (whenever I remember). Anyway we went to the dentist the other day

and the hygentist said, that he had some staining around that tooth and

that maybe there had been a cavity. Then the dentist said the same. I

was thinking, wow, it really does work! I tried to explain to them but

they didn't want to hear what I had to say. They were too busy trying

to tell me why my 7 year old daughter needs x rays ( just in case, the

chances are there is nothing) and why I should do flouride rinses and

how much mercury there is in fish so whats the big deal.

Anyway I was really excited that his cavity went away, I guess it

does work.

Now, its time to get a new dentist.

********how exciting! so, his cavity remineralized? i'm planning on having

my mercury amalgams removed. can you tell me what you gave your son that you

feel helped the re-mineralization? anything other than CLO three times a

week? how much CLO per dose? does he drink raw milk as well? and/or butter

or ghee?

Additionally, Price had his patients eat freshly ground wheat gruel and bone

broth soups. He had children go on a program where they would eat one meal a

day with him, and at home they kept eating modern crap foods. The one meal a

day consisted of a glass of raw milk before dinner and another after dinner,

if I remember right, with a bone broth soup for one course, a gruel made from

freshly ground wheat, a main course, and supplements of cod liver oil and

butter taken together. Price thought the wheat germ was very important for

fat soluble vitamins, but in particular, vitamin E, which it is the best

source of, which he thought important to calcium utilization. On this diet,

tooth decay ceased in his patients, even eating the other crap. I don't

remember whether there were instances of remineralizaiton on this looser diet

or only on those who kept it more strictly. Also from this program, he had

two different teachers approach him and ask him what it was he was doing that

made their student go from worst in the class to best in the class.

I believe it was a 1 1/2 tsp, but saying it better to spread it 1/2 tsp each

meal. He said that large amounts of CLO can lead to toxicity, but that

amount is well within healthful range. I forgot about the other ingredients

in the stew. I knew there was a meat portion but couldn't remember how to

include it. Our library at UMass Amherst had the book, which was quite

fortunate. It is a great read and worth sending away for.

I have been read what you wrote about your son's cavity and am

wondering if you have a place where I can read about this

remineralizing teeth. Do you have a web site and other place that you

heard about this?

THANKS

Weston Price found and documented in his book

Nutrition and Physical Degeneration that tooth

cavities could be remineralized with supplementation

of cod liver oil and butter oil.

http://www.westonaprice.org could be a good start.

Hi,

I recently read Nutrition and Physical Degeneration and recall the

gruel (better call that a stew around kids) contained finely diced

beef, beef broth, and gently cooked vegetables too. The cooked meat

was added at the end of the vegetable cooking. Raw milk and cod liver

oil were given, but I don't recall the exact amount. It might heave

been a half teaspoon of each or maybe a teaspoon. Better check the

book for that information. Your library may have to send a way for

the book or you can buy it through WAP(www.westonaprice.org for your

own library. It is a fascinating read.

Be well,

Sheila

To make it easier to copy/paste and search for interesting fragments, you can

download this book from www.soilandhealth.org. Buying it is also a good idea

-- to support WAPF. Or better, yet, become WAPF member.

Would you be so kind to specify brands of CLO and butter? And also -- amounts

of both. To some people, one table spoon of butter seems a lot, whereas to

others, it's nothing.

Thanks
